Game & Fish Fund Citizen Oversight

Authorization

The Game & Fish Fund contains license fees and surcharges for hunting and angling, Lottery in-Lieu funds, some federal funds, fines, and miscellaneous receipts. Citizen oversight of the Game & Fish Fund has been authorized by statute since 1994. It was reauthorized by the Legislature in 2001 with a more integrated structure. The current authorizing law is Minnesota Statutes Section 97A.055, Subd. 4b .
