Water Appropriation Permit Applications

A water use permit is required for all water users in Minnesota withdrawing more than 10,000 gallons of water per day or 1 million gallons per year. For more information, see Water Use Permits.

Bond Forms

Minnesota Statute 103G.311, Subdivision 5, requires those who demand a contested case public hearing on a Commissioner's Order to execute and file a corporate surety bond or equivalent security. Bond forms are available on request or electronically (see below). As an alternative, you may choose to send a cashier's check made payable to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources in the amount of $500.00 when demanding a hearing. All demands for public hearings should be in writing.

Flood Damage Reduction

The program provides technical and financial assistance to local governmental units for conducting flood damage reduction studies and planning and implementing flood damage reduction measures.
