Fort Snelling State Park's Evening Music Series continues on August 14 at 6:30 p.m. on Picnic Island. It will feature Curtis and Loretta, a local folk duo as they present songs from the new Minnesota Heritage Songbook. Park NotesFirewood restrictions information:
Minnesota has enacted legislation that restricts firewood being brought to or used on DNR lands. Complete information and lists of vendors and locations where approved firewood is available are posted on the DNR Web site. For information about activities in the Fort Snelling State Park, see the event calendar on the Department of Natural Resources Website at www.dnr.state.mn.us. Fort Snelling State Park is located on Post Road off State Highway 5, just west of the main terminal exit for the International Airport. A vehicle permit is required to enter the park and can be purchased at the park office. The visitor center is located within the park.
