Send us your comments: Please share some of your thoughts on what would make the proposed Lake Vermilion State Park a place you would want to visit.

NOTICE: The recruitment for Park Managers and Assistant Park Managers is now closed (entitled NR Supervisor 1-5 Parks). In the future, the Division of Parks and Recreation will be publicly announcing only the NR Supervisor 1 - Parks level. We anticipate this being open for application on an annual basis for a period of 3-4 weeks a year. Please look for this and other future DNR job announcements at:

The DNR Division of Parks and Recreation has recently completed a strategic plan. The plan will help guide the Division's efforts to achieve its three part mission:

  • preserve natural and cultural resources
  • educate visitors through interpretation
  • provide recreational opportunities without impairment to park resources for today's visitors and future generations.

The strategic plan and executive summary are available in electronic form.
