Project description
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) invited public review and written comments on a proposal by Swift County to obtain grant-in-aid funding for an expansion of the Appleton Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Park. The proposed expansion would add a skills area designed for Off-Highway Motorcycle (OHM), All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) use as well as a circle track designed for OHM use. The facilities are proposed to be constructed on separate parcels near the existing OHV park. Along with trails, the project would add a challenge area, youth area, grass track, hill climbs, and open shelters to engage every user group.
